If you connect your SCUF Nomad for the first time, please follow the instructions below. At the bottom of this page is a video showing the instructions below.
- Remove the controller from the packaging.
- Power on the controller by holding down the home button for at least two seconds. (If the controller does not power on, please connect a USB-C cable to the controller to charge it).
- Once the controller powers on, the status lights will illuminate.
- The controller should already be in Bluetooth pairing mode when turned on for the first time, but if not, press and hold the Bluetooth Pairing Button. The status lights will all begin to flash when in pairing mode.
- Go to your device’s Bluetooth settings and search for Bluetooth devices.
- After a few seconds, the controller should appear in the list of devices as “SCUF NOMAD mobile controller.”
- Select “SCUF NOMAD mobile controller” to connect to the controller.
- Once connected, the Nomad controller should appear under your “MY DEVICES” list and say “Connected.”
- You should be prompted to download the “SCUF Nomad Companion App” from the App Store, if not, we recommend searching for the app within the App Store.
- Download the “SCUF Nomad Companion App.”
- Once downloaded, launch the app.
- Press the Menu Button and navigate to the “Device” section.
- Select “Profile Settings.”
- Choose “Custom” and select your preferred starting profile. This will make your Nomad controller have the selected profile’s settings outside the app. Please note that settings will always be applied unless you set a specific profile to a specific game.
Please note: that the paddles will not work on most games right out of the box as the Nomad’s default mappings are set in accordance with Apple’s official controller specifications. To make use of the paddles please change the Nomad’s default profile settings to a custom profile.
