Out of the box, the assigned paddle inputs are set based on Apple’s requirements and are not common functions in most games. This means that the paddles may not work in the game or application you are using with your controller. Don’t worry, there are several ways to resolve this!
At the bottom of this page is a video showing the instructions below.
First method:
- Open the SCUF Nomad Companion App.
- Press the Menu Button and navigate to the “Preferences” section.
- Select “Profile Settings.”
- Choose “Custom” and select your preferred profile. This will make your Nomad controller have the selected profile’s settings outside the app. Please note that settings will always be applied unless you set a specific profile to a specific game.
- If you have not already customized the starting profiles, here are the default factory mappings per profile.
Please note:
- The paddles will not work within the SCUF Nomad Companion App.
- Some games will need to have controller settings enabled or another prerequisite, such as a tutorial to be completed, in order to use a controller.
Second method:
You would need to check is to ensure that the profile you are wanting to use has an input that is not mapped to “M1” or “M2.”:
- Launch the SCUF Nomad Companion App.
- Press the Menu button.
- Under the “Customization” section, select the profile you are using.
- Navigate to the “Back” interface to find the paddles.
- Ensure that the active inputs of both paddles are not mapped to “M1” or M2.”
- If a paddle is mapped to either “M1” or “M2,” select the paddle and then choose your desired input that you want to assign to it.
If your paddles are still not working, please check if controller settings need to be enabled within the game or application you are using. You can also try resetting your controller, click HERE to see how.
