If you are experiencing thumbsticks on your SCUF Vantage not returning to a centered position, this is most likely the result of an improperly seated faceplate or thumbstick, so please check your controller using the following troubleshooting:
Step 1: Remove the faceplate by lifting it from the controller chassis using the two finger notches on each side of the handles.
Step 2: Remove the thumbstick by lifting it from the thumbstick shaft.
Step 3: Remove the anti-friction ring from the faceplate by pushing it outwards from the inside of the faceplate.
Step 4: Place the anti-friction ring back into the faceplate by pushing it into place from the front of the faceplate, aligning the teeth.
Step 5: Look at the thumbstick and make sure the tail of the SCUF logo is positioned at the bottom left. Then place the thumbstick back onto the thumbstick shaft and press firmly to secure.
Step 6: Put the faceplate back on the controller and push to secure. You will hear the magnets “click” into place.
In rare cases, this problem may persist even when the faceplate is properly seated. If, after firmly pressing your thumbsticks down, your controller has sticking thumbsticks, please contact customer service via a support ticket. Please know that we have further increased our quality control measures to ensure that this issue is eliminated entirely.
