When connecting your SCUF Vantage to your computer for the first time, it will be detected as an audio device. To correct this issue, complete the following troubleshooting steps:

Step 1: Locate the Speaker icon in your task bar (this is generally in the lower right hand corner near the date/time display).

Step 2: Right click the Speaker icon and select the "Sounds" menu item.

Step 3: The "Sounds" settings will open. On the top left, click on the "Playback" tab.

Step 4: Locate the "Headset Earphone" device labeled as "SCUF Controller". Right click this label to bring up the devices menu and click "Disable".

Step 5: Close the "Sounds" settings.

From here on out, your SCUF Vantage should be correctly configured on this PC. You will not need to perform these steps again when connecting a SCUF Vantage to your computer.
