Follow these steps to safely remove and replace your controller's thumbsticks.
1 Remove the faceplate: Gently pull off the faceplate from the top of the controller (near the bumpers) [00:00:06].
2 Detach the thumbstick: Grab the thumbstick you want to remove and pull it up firmly to detach it from the post [00:00:12].
3 Install the new thumbstick: Align the hole on the bottom of your new thumbstick with the post and give it a slight push until it clicks into place [00:00:17].
4 Replace the faceplate: Lower the faceplate back onto the controller until it is secure [00:00:22].
