If your SCUF Omega dongle is no longer detected and requires an update by the SCUF App , or if the dongle requires an update before you can continue like show in image below, follow the steps below to restore wireless functionality.
Requirements
- A PC running Windows
- The SCUF OMEGA file attached at the bottom of this article
Steps
- Download the SCUF OMEGA file from the bottom of this article.
- Extract the downloaded folder.
- Run the executable file contained within the extracted folder.
- Connect both the SCUF Omega dongle and the controller directly to available USB ports on your PC's motherboard.
- Do not connect them through a USB hub or docking station.
Windows Security Prompt
When launching the tool, Windows may display a security warning.
- Click More info.
- Select Run anyway.
Although this warning may appear concerning, the pairing tool is safe to use.
Complete the Pairing Process
- Follow the instructions displayed in the Command Prompt window that opens on your desktop.
- Allow the process to complete fully.
Update Firmware
After pairing is complete:
- Open the SCUF Mobile App.
- Check whether firmware updates are available.
- Update the firmware for both the dongle and the controller, if prompted.
Once the updates are successfully installed, verify that the controller connects wirelessly and is recognized by the SCUF App.
